Sam's used to being an exile. First with the bad luck to fall into a fantasy world as a kid and second with the worse luck to get punted back to Glasgow with no hope of return.

A decade later, haunted by the memory of magic and his lost love worlds away, his coping mechanism has always been to smash things for a living, drink with his best mate, rinse, and repeat.
