This book is devoted to artistic approaches that can be seen as
representing a wider understanding of sculpture.
The focus is on light,
sound and video sculpture, assemblages, light installations, and kinetic
art produced since 1980 by such artists as Brigitte Kowanz, Bernhard
Leitner, Vadim Kosmatschof, Marianne Maderna, Franz West, Gelitin, and
Josef Trattner.
The development of a broader approach to sculpture is
